Clarendon Forest Retreat is a secret hideaway on the Mid North Coast
This beautiful country escape in the Manning Valley provides guests with secluded stays in stunning cottages in Possum Brush.
Clarendon Forest Retreat sits on 100 acres with eight cottages that offer seclusion, tranquility and a comfortable country experience. When you travel up Possum Brush Road and it becomes unsealed, you know you're on your way to a remote area of NSW. The drive to Clarendon Forest Retreat is quite enjoyable, and a four-wheel drive vehicle isn't necessary to reach your destination.

On a beautiful winter's day, I visited Clarendon Forest Retreat, and the sky was completely clear with spectacular views.

This spectacular location, has views of rolling hills, waterlily pond and is surrounded by trees of the Kiwarrak State Forest. For a winter's getaway, guests travel to Clarendon Forest Retreat because of the tranquility, fresh air, log fires and hot spas and in the warmer months there is the swimming pool to cool down or a drive to Forster Tuncurry or Blackhead and Diamond Beaches.

One of the activities available for guests is Clarendon Horse Riding offering tours with experienced guides. The trails are chosen for safety, scenic value and ride quality. The horses are kept at the stables on the property and are well cared for.

Other activities include bushwalking, tennis, volleyball and a swimming pool.

Pet owners will find Clarendon Forest Retreat accommodating, making holiday planning easier for those wishing to bring their furry companions. There's ample space for dogs to run and walk.

The Claredon Forest Retreat does not have a restaurant on site, all of the houses boast fully equipped kitchens.
If you don’t feel like cooking you could organise the Nabiac Hotel – free courtesy bus for pick up and delivery from/to your cottage.
