Farm Stay Ewetopia Farm Wauchope
Farm stays are a great way to spend a holiday with the family and Ewetopia Farm on the Mid North Coast of NSW offers a great stay with a little education on raising sheep and cheese making. Ian and Jill McKittrick have lived on the farm for over 15 years and since then have raised enough sheep to produce cheese that they sell at the local markets.
Guests who stay at the farm are welcome to have a tour with Ian and watch the milking (if in season) and cheese making.
Set in the idyllic NSW countryside a stay at Ewetopia Farm offers spectacular views, plenty of wildlife and of course animals galore! I was lucky enough to visit at the lambing season and had the opportunity to mingle with these little cuties.
On my visit there were also a few calves and one in particular was having an identity crisis thinking it was a sheep! Very cute indeed!
The guest cottage has three bedrooms, a generous size kitchen and combined dining and living areas. Next to the cottage there is a salt water swimming pool and an enclosed and sheltered entertainment area with seating, pizza oven, fire pit and bbq.
There's plenty of things to do in the area. Port Macquarie is a one hour drive away offering restaurants, shopping, Billabong Zoo and Ricardoes Tomatoes.
The milking station is quite compact however it is adequate enough to harvest enough milk to produce a good supply of cheese.
