I was there to learn about the milking process at the 3.00 pm session having kindly knocked back the 3.00 a.m. session. Julian, the owner of the dairy does the 3.00 a.m. milking session 7 days a we

The Rainforest Cafe Port Macquarie
By Emma Jane Holmes There’s nothing quite like freshly brewed coffee and your favourite breakfast at a café. Despite perfectly poached eggs and coffee just right, a café isn’t always the best place to say, read a book. Relax on your morning off work. Unwind, chill out. Who can focus on the pages of a good book with the children at the table next to you squealing and clashing their cutlery on their plate? I’ve found a place where you can have it all. Serenity. Delicious coffee

Fishing on Wallis Lake
I was eager to go fishing with my neighbour, Joe, and his son-in-law, Len, both keen fishermen who know a thing or two about fishing. Myself, a novice, doesn't even own a fishing rod, but that's ok, Len had already picked one out of his collection of over 30! The truth is I'm in my 5th Decade and have never fished in my life. There was just one some thing to take care of the previous day before my fishing expedition! Get a fishing licence! I trotted off to the bait shop in Tu

The Tallest Tree in NSW -The Grandis Mid North Coast
Tucked just off the Pacific Highway near Bulahdelah, The Grandis is one of the easiest and most rewarding nature stops on the Mid North Coast. Set on the edge of Myall Lakes National Park, it’s a quiet rainforest pocket built around one very impressive feature, the tallest tree in New South Wales. A short, flat 75-metre walk from the picnic area brings you to The Grandis itself, a towering flooded gum that rises above the surrounding forest. It’s the kind of place that makes

The Mullet Run Tuncurry
The Mullet Run is a yearly fishing expedition that is actually mostly on land! This seasonal fishing phenomena occurs during April/May pre-spawning period when the adult mullet migrate along the ocean beaches. It certainly takes some patience by these fishermen as they wait for their catch. The commercial fishermen have special licenses to allow them to net the fish from the beach using both a speed boat and four wheel drive vehicles. As you will see from my Facebook video be
